Just got back from 2 days of fishing Lake Irvine. The first day, we found 10 ftw (most of the lake is around 8) and did very well. Walleyes bit from 10 to 3 in good numbers, scrapped an easy 3-man limit. Fished the same place the next day, same weather, did about half as well.
The fish are aggressive when you find them, it was just a bit cold to be moving around. We managed to get our permanent ice house on the lake…the snow drifts are rock hard now.
Lake Irvine should be a solid walleye produce again for the 2017 open water season.
